Win+R just got rebuilt with PowerToys DNA.

Microsoft rewrote the Run dialog in C#/WinUI 3, using the same code that powers PowerToys Command Palette. Faster launch, dark mode, and ~\ lets you navigate the file system right from the box.

I switched to PowerToys Command Palette for quick launches a while back. If this holds up, I might just drop it and go back to Win+R.

It’s still experimental, Windows Insiders only for now. The rest of us will have to wait for a stable release.
